Lemon chrysoprase

ETIMOLOGY: From the greek jrisos: gold e prasos = leek gold.

MINERALOGY: The crisoprasa is one of the ways that the silicon dioxide (SiO2) occurs, commonly called silica. Depending on the content of silicates or hydrated nickel oxide and magnesite, in this case elcolor chrysoprase is lime. The proportion of nickel which often determines the color.
